The Reviews

I've had this PC just over 2 years now and I still love it. It's a very basic PC but don't let that put you off, it can easily be upgraded to your needs. I recently upgraded the RAM from 258MB to 1GB and it was so quick and simple. When I first got the PC my needs of it were basic so it was perfect! But as time passed I needed more from my PC and it didn't have the power. But the upgrade has made it seem like a whole new PC! The manufacturer is Medion, you may not have heard of them but again dont let that put you off, I have seen new and better Medion PC's come into production so dont worry im sure Medion will have a computer that fits your needs it's just a case of looking around. Medion do not over-charge people for theirs desktops and laptops, ?400 for a desktop has to be a very reasonable price as I'm sure you'll agree, you may be thinking yeh but its basic PC but again it can be very easily upgraded.

I've had no major problems with it at all, that would surely tell you that Medion have to be a decent company, yeh, Ok it occasionaly freezes but nothings perfect! Plus all PC's tend to freeze at some point? I guess it freezes when your wanting the PC to do so much at one time and its not within its capabilities. Theres always one little dissapointment amongst a device but dont think of this as a major problem because it really isn't. The one thing I noticed is the speakers on the monitor are not very loud which dissapointed me a little. Although this was easily sorted when I was given some great speakers which work brilliant with my PC! This could have been due to a fault on my particular monitor but im not sure, anyways I didn't contact Medion about it because I thought its not a major issue and the speakers made everything perfect.

Features:

17" TFT monitor
258MB DDR RAM
Intel Centrino Celeror D
Windows XP (you can get it now with Vista)
Service Pack 2
Celeron (R) CPU 2.80GHz

If your thinking of buying a PC or Notebook then I would advise to keep Medion in mind, and if your intrested then read more information on them at http://www.medion.co.uk/. I have had no reason to contact Medion at all since I started using the PC so I cant give an opinion on the customer contact. Perhaps this is a good thing!

Protection or Precaution?
Norton, McAfee, AVG, Bitfinder. All these companies promise to protect your PC from any virus or hacker that may want to harm your computer. But do any of them actually work? Or is it just fleecing you of yet more money for nothing!?
