I got fed up with our Tesco plastic kettle, though it works fine, so decided to ugrade to a newer and better quality model.

The Breville boils water very fast, and its got a great hinged lid which pops open with the touch of a button saving a vital few seconds in the morning! The kettle is well built and has a sturdy on/off button. The water is illuminated when boiling with a cool blue light, which turns red light when it's boiling which is rather fancy if you like silly features. You also have another useful feature - a keep the water warm button which can save even further time. This is well built, stylish and quite tactile.

I recommend it highly if you are in the market for a middle range kettle.
