Well the iPod seems to be like marmite. You love it or you hate it. I'm not the latter definatly! I bought this to upgrade from my 4GB iPod Mini (Now Discontinued). I expected it to be good but it turned out amazing. The only disapointment is the fact that the capacity of the iPod is only 27GB once formatted. Annoying. I have filled up 10GB with 3GB of music and 7GB of video. It is a useful piece of equipment for watching films on the go. Unfortunatly, Apple haven't relased a piece of software to transfer DVD's to the desired .mp4 file so avid film watchers will have to use exernal applications to transfer thier favourite flicks to file. You can hold roughly 80hours of high quality video, a fantastic amount. The Software (iTunes) is a very good package and can be used to transfer music to iPod in one of two ways. Either you can set it to sync so when you plug in your pod it atomaticaly adds any new music found on your computer, or you can set it so you have to transfer each music file manually. I prefer the latter, as I use itunes to play sound effects I use for my flash movies and games. The lead that comes with it is good and is of desirable length. Clever me lost that :P. I unfortunatly broke my screen late last year and Apples support team did not help at all and would not replace my screen. I ended up having to replace it myself with a screen found on eBay. This resulted in my audio jack playing up and thus voiding my warranty. Whoops. THe Video playback is good and the brightness of the screen can be changed whilst watching, a life saver for me. Also with the new iPod software (which I did not originaly have) a bettery meter displays in the top left corner which can help you plan when to charge, if in mid-movie. Overall I enjoy using this but some small glitches could be improved.

I have to say I do love this iPod, its looks and most of all its features but in my opinion it is rather bulky and believe it or not the iPod is the main thing people get mugged for and no ones exactly going to miss that in your hand or pocket.
